Bees,Naxals disrupt polling in Jharkhand
Early in the morning of the polling day, thousands of honeybees descended from the nearby forest and attacked voters and officials in two polling stations numbered 76 and 77 in the constituency, said a Hindustan Times report.
As a result, the polling was stalled for about 45 minutes. Seven voters were injured in the bee attack and were taken to Kudu health centre for primary medical aid. Presiding officers Ranjan Kumar and Amarnath Sahu were also hurt and they were referred to Lohardaga Sadar Hospital for further treatment. They were replaced by reserve polling officials.
Known for Naxal attacks, Lohardaga area witnessed two explosions on the polling day, near Bishunpur.
