Battle Of Projections - Prashant Kishor Vs Yogendra Yadav's Lok Sabha Polls Prediction: Who Will Get It Right?
The 2024 Lok Sabha elections are approaching their penultimate stage, with the seventh and final phase of voting set to take place on Saturday.
As polling concludes at 6 pm on Saturday, the attention will shift to the release of pollsters' numbers or exit polls across the states.

Amidst the nation's anticipation of these findings, two figures have emerged in the spotlight with their predictions: psephologist Yogendra Yadav and poll strategist Prashant Kishor.
Yogendra Yadav's Lok Sabha Predictions
Yadav's analysis indicates potential challenges for the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in securing a decisive victory. He suggests that the BJP alone may struggle to exceed 260 seats and could find it "impossible" to reach the 300-seat mark. Yadav even predicts the BJP might fall below 275 seats, or possibly even 250 seats.
According to his assessment, NDA allies may secure 35 to 45 seats, bringing the NDA's total to 275 to 305 seats, enough to form a government. Yadav also anticipates a resurgence for the Congress party, estimating it could win between 85 and 100 seats, a significant increase from the 52 seats it garnered in the 2019 general elections. Additionally, he foresees the INDIA bloc, the Congress-led alliance, clinching between 120 and 135 seats, presenting a formidable challenge to the BJP's electoral dominance.
Prashant Kishor's Predictions
On the other hand, Prashant Kishor, in several interviews, has predicted a strong comeback for the BJP. He believes the party will likely improve its electoral tally, particularly highlighting its strength in the West and North regions. Kishor foresees minimal impact on the BJP's prospects in these areas, along with a surge in the party's voter share and seat count in the East and South regions.
However, Kishor refrained from delving into state-wise predictions. Despite his optimistic outlook for the BJP, he noted a decline in the influence of the Modi brand.
Kishor also expressed scepticism about the Congress's prospects, suggesting that the party may not secure seats in triple digits. He advised Rahul Gandhi to take a hiatus from politics for a few years.
The accuracy of these predictions will be revealed on June 4, but exit polls may offer insights into whose forecasts are closer to reality.
