Motive for the Heinous Crime

According to the government counsel, Suniti Kumar Pathak, Durvesh, a practicing advocate, committed the heinous crime on October 13, 2020, in the Meerganj area of Bareilly. The motive behind the murders was Durvesh's desire to acquire the family property.

The Tragic Sequence of Events

On the fateful day, Durvesh's brother, Umesh Kumar, and his wife, Hemlata, were near their parents' house when they heard gunshots. Rushing to investigate, they witnessed Durvesh carrying the lifeless body of their father, Lalta Prasad, 76, to another room. When Umesh and Hemlata confronted Durvesh, he turned the pistol on them.
