Bank Employees To Enjoy 16 Days Off In September This Year, See List

Bank employees can plan a nice vacation as a total of 16 days holiday is scheduled in the month of September 2023 as per the updated Reserve Bank Of India calendar.

Based on the regional holidays decided by the respective state government, festivals, second and fourth Saturdays, and Sundays, banks will remain closed for 16 days in September this year.

Notably, people willing to visit the bank for urgent matters are suggested to take into account these listed holidays. However, it wouldn't be causing too much inconvenience for the people as the internet banking services will remain accessible nationwide on all days.

All bank holidays are segregated into three categories, which include Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday, and Banks' Closing of Accounts.

September 22, 2023: Shree Narayana Guru Samadhi Day
September 23, 2023: Fourth Saturday and Maharaja Hari Singh's birthday (Jammu & Kashmir)
September 24, 2023: Sunday
September 25, 2023: Birth anniversary of Shrimant Sankardeva
September 27, 2023: Milad-e-Sherif (Birthday of Prophet Mohammad)
