Bank employees begin a 2-day strike demanding wage hike

The employees and officers have been demanding a revision in their wages since November 2012.

The employees unions have been asking for an increase of nearly 30 per cent of their salaries. However, the Indian Banks' Association (IBA) is willing to offer an increase of 10 per cent.
Sources say that the banks mights not refill ATMs, that might go dry by Monday evening. It might affect cash withdrawal in some places.
Reportedly, the next round of talks between IBA and UFBU will take place in Mumbai on Thursday.
