Giriraj Singh Highlights Employment of Bangladeshis and Rohingya as Delivery Agents in India

Union minister Giriraj Singh recently alleged that Bangladeshi nationals and Rohingya are employed as delivery agents by food delivery and online shopping companies. He emphasised the need to identify these individuals. Singh made these statements in Hyderabad while attending the NIFT-Hyderabad convocation. He mentioned that platforms like Zomato, Swiggy, and Flipkart have delivery personnel who are Bangladeshis and Rohingya.

Comments on Yogi Adityanath's Statements

Singh supported Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's comments comparing Sambhal to Bangladesh. Adityanath had remarked on the similarity between actions by Babur's commander in Ayodhya and Sambhal 500 years ago and current events in Bangladesh. Singh agreed, stating that Adityanath's observations were accurate.

Adityanath had highlighted the consistent nature of acts committed by adversaries in neighbouring countries. He drew parallels between historical events in Ayodhya and Sambhal with current occurrences in Bangladesh. "The nature and DNA of all three are the same," he stated, referring to these events.

Criticism of Asaduddin Owaisi

In response to a query about Adityanath's remarks, Singh criticised AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi. He commented on India's partition, noting the decline of Hindus in Pakistan and similar trends in Bangladesh today. Singh linked Jinnah's influence to both Pakistan and Bangladesh, suggesting it also extends to Sambhal.

Singh further remarked, "Your Owaisi, Jinnah’s gene entered him," implying a connection between Owaisi and Jinnah's ideology. This statement was part of his broader critique of Owaisi's political stance and its perceived implications for India.

The minister's comments have sparked discussions about national security and identity verification within service sectors. His remarks also highlight ongoing political debates regarding historical narratives and their relevance to contemporary issues in India.
