Bandipora Encounter: Security Forces and Terrorists Exchange Fire in Intense Standoff

Three militants were killed by security forces on Saturday during separate gunbattles in Jammu and Kashmir.

In the first incident, two terrorists were neutralized by security personnel near Halkan Gali in the Shangus-Larnoo area of Anantnag district. According to an official statement from the Indian Army, troops intercepted a group of militants in a forested region, leading to an intense gunfight that resulted in the deaths of the two terrorists.

The Indian Army's Chinar Corps reported on the social media platform X that a joint operation was launched in the area.

"Terrorists opened fire indiscriminately," the corps stated. "Our troops effectively retaliated, leading to the elimination of two terrorists."

In a separate operation, a Pakistani terrorist associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) was killed in an encounter that erupted in the Khanyar area of Srinagar district on Saturday morning.
