Bajrang Dal goons thrash Assam migrants in Chikkamagaluru
Chikkamagaluru, July 26: Close on heels of an attack on Dalits for allegedly storing beef at home, Bajrang Dal activists on Monday night attacked migrant Assamese workers who had just landed in Aldur in the district to work in the coffee estates there.
The attack was carried out on the pretext of sending the Assamese back to their state to save the jobs of locals on the estate. A case has been registered at the Aldur police station, invoking charges of rioting and attempt to murder, Aldur police station sub-inspector Arif told OneIndia. Five Bajrang Dal activists have been arrested in this connection, he added.

While local sources said, the five had attacked the migrants mistaking them to be Bangladeshis, the police said investigations are on.
