Bag filled with electric detonators found in Andhra farm field

The bag filled with electric detonators was found lying in a cornfield yesterday in Thantikonda, Gokavaram Sub- Inspector of Police Venkata Suresh said.

Rajamahendravaram, March 26: Police have recovered 500 electric detonators kept in a gunny bag near a village in East Godavari district.

The bag filled with electric detonators was found lying in a cornfield on Saturday in Thantikonda, Gokavaram Sub- Inspector of Police Venkata Suresh said.

The suspicious sack was spotted by the farmland owner, K Balakrishna, who went there with a group of workers. He immediately informed the police, who opened the bag and found it stuffed with 500 electric detonators, the officer said.

"We are investigating the case and trying to find out who kept the bag," Suresh said.
