Chilling reminder of Badaun rape case: sisters raped in Etah, UP

Etah (UP), June 7:The chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav and the SP supremo, Mulayam Singh Yadav may give as many callous justifications as they want to justify the increasing number of rape cases in the state, but the numbers are spiralling beyond control. In another example of lawlessness in the state, two sisters were abducted and gangraped by three men ina jungle.

Just a few days after the Badaun rape case, the Siyapur village of Etah district reported a similar case where sisters, aged 14 and 15 years were abducted when they were on their way to a nearby flour mill and taken to a jungle where they were raped. The incident happened on Thursday and the men were arrested after the girls' parents lodged a police complaint.

Moreover, the medical examination of the girls have confirmed rape. Amidst rising concerns and protests against the increasing atrocities on women in the state, the Akhilesh Yadav and his father have been making callous comments. When UP CM reminded reporters of the Google App to check the total number of rapes that happen in India and that that not all of them happen in UP, his father threaten journalists to "do their work and ket him do his."
