Babri: CBI wants conspiracy charges against Advani revived
The Central Bureau of Investigation on Thursday told the Supreme Court that conspiracy charges against L K Advani and others must be revived in the Babri Masjid demolition case. The CBI made the submission in the SC which is hearing a plea against an order which had discharged Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi and Uma Bharti.

Charges had been dropped against 21 persons on technical grounds. The CBI said that the court at Lucknow must try these accused persons. There are two sets of cases one of which is against Advani and others who were on the dais at the Ram Katha Kunj in Ayodhya on December 6 1992. The Supreme Court reserved its order on the plea on Thursday. Meanwhile, Veteran BJP leaders LK Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi agreed to face conspiracy charges in the case.
