Ayush Tableau at Republic Day Parade Merges Traditional Knowledge with Modern Healthcare Practices

The Ayush tableau at the Republic Day Parade highlights India's traditional health knowledge integrated with modern healthcare. It showcases the National Ayush Mission's role in promoting holistic well-being and national strength.

The Republic Day Parade will feature an Ayush tableau, showcasing India's ancient health wisdom integrated with modern healthcare. The theme, "Ayush ka Tantra, Swasthya ka Mantra," aligns with the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat. It highlights the National Ayush Mission's (NAM) role in strengthening traditional medicine systems within the national health framework.

The tableau, designed by the Ayush ministry, symbolises the fusion of India's traditional medicine systems with modern public healthcare. It reflects holistic well-being as a core aspect of Vande Bharat, from ancient times to a future-ready nation. The presentation includes a tri-sculptural representation of Acharya Charak, Acharya Patanjali, and Acharya Agastya around a mound of medicinal plants.

Ayush's Role in Nation-Building and Global Health

Ayush minister Prataprao Jadhav emphasised that the tableau represents India's dedication to evidence-based, people-centric, and preventive healthcare. It positions Ayush as a crucial pillar of national wellness. The tableau also highlights Ayush's growing role in nation-building and global health.

Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Ayush ministry's secretary, stated, "The Republic Day tableau reflects how Ayush has moved from vision to implementation, with traditional systems being systematically integrated into India's public health framework." Through NAM, quality assurance, education, research, and digital platforms are enhancing accessibility and credibility.

Celebrating Diverse Therapeutic Traditions

The narrative also showcases India's emergence as a digitally empowered wellness leader. Visual elements highlight NAM's technology-driven platforms that expand access, transparency, and outreach. Community-based healthcare delivery is depicted through Ayushman Arogya Mandir Ayush and visuals of Yoga.

The tableau celebrates India's diverse therapeutic traditions with three-dimensional murals of Marma, Shirodhara, and Cupping. It pays tribute to pioneers of major Ayush systems worldwide. The presentation concludes with a depiction of a Government Ayurveda Medical College, symbolising institutional continuity and excellence.

The tableau underscores health as a foundational pillar of national strength. It celebrates India's commitment to nurturing a resilient, inclusive society rooted in its heritage while addressing modern healthcare needs. This presentation reinforces Ayush as an evolving pillar of India's public health and global wellness leadership.
