Classical Instruments to Grace Ayodhya Ram Mandir Consecration
Ayodhyas Ram Mandir consecration ceremony will feature musicians from across India playing traditional instruments like Pakhawaj and Mridang.
Ayodhya, January 15: The upcoming Ram Mandir consecration ceremony in Ayodhya will witness a harmonious symphony of classical instruments from various regions of India, reflecting the country's rich cultural heritage. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, the temple trust, announced that musicians from different parts of the country have been meticulously selected to perform during the grand event scheduled for January 22.

Diverse Musical Instruments to Grace the Ceremony
The Pran Pratishtha ceremony, set to commence at 12:20 pm and conclude by 1 pm, will be graced by the presence of dignitaries including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, the president of the temple trust. Approximately 8,000 people will be accommodated for the momentous occasion.
The selected musicians will showcase their expertise on traditional Indian musical instruments, known as vadya yantra, representing their respective regions. The event will feature bansuri and dholak artists from Uttar Pradesh; veena from Karnataka; sundari from Maharashtra; alghoza from Punjab; mardala from Odisha; santoor from Madhya Pradesh; pung from Manipur; nagada and kali from Assam; tamboora from Chhattisgarh; pakhawaj from Bihar; shehani from Delhi; and ravanhatha from Rajasthan.
Additionally, shrikhol and sarod artists from West Bengal; ghatam from Andhra Pradesh; sitar from Jharkhand; nadaswarm and mridang from Tamil Nadu; and hudka from Uttarakhand will also contribute to the musical extravaganza. These artists will perform during intervals between ritualistic chants and speeches.
Preparations and Arrangements for the Event
Representatives from L&T and Tata Consulting Engineer, the project management consultants for the Ram temple, will be in attendance at the temple opening event. The temple trust has meticulously planned for the well-being of the guests, ensuring the availability of refreshments, lunch, drinking water, toilet facilities, and shoe racks.
Over 7,000 individuals have received invitations from the temple trust for the Pran Pratishtha ceremony. Notable invitees include cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, and prominent industrialists Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani.
Post-Consecration Plans and International Guests
Following the consecration ceremony, workers from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) will visit the temple in batches from January 26 until the end of February. The temple trust has also received gifts from various parts of India and Jankakpur in Nepal in anticipation of the occasion.
Accommodation arrangements for the invited guests have been made at Karsewakpuram and Teerth Kshetra Puram, with additional bookings in hotels and dharmashalas. Notably, 53 guests from 50 countries, including China, the United States, African nations, and Gulf countries, are expected to attend the temple event.
