The iconic roundabout, named after the legendary singer, has emerged as a popular spot for selfies in the holy city.
Ayodhya, the holy city in Uttar Pradesh, welcomed the new year with fervor and devotion as hundreds of people gathered at the iconic Lata Mangeshkar Chowk to celebrate the occasion. The atmosphere was filled with excitement and religious fervor as the clock struck midnight, and the crowd erupted in cheers of "Happy New Year" and "Jai Shri Ram."

Lata Mangeshkar Chowk, named after the legendary singer, has become a popular spot for taking selfies in Ayodhya. The roundabout gained even more prominence after Prime Minister Narendra Modi stopped by during his roadshow on Saturday. Many visitors, like Rekha Sengupta and her family, chose to ring in the new year at this iconic location.
Security Measures in Place
To ensure a safe and peaceful celebration, security personnel were deployed at prominent locations throughout the temple town, including Lata Mangeshkar Chowk. The presence of security forces provided a sense of安心 and allowed revelers to enjoy the festivities without any worries.

Neeraj Gupta, who traveled to Ayodhya with friends from Bahraich Road, shared his plans for the following day, which included taking a holy dip in the Saryu river, visiting a Shiva temple, and seeking blessings at Ramjanmabhoomi.
