Ayodhya: Lord Ram's Final Idol For Consecration Ceremony Unveiled

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi on Tuesday revealed the picture of Lord Ram's statue that will be installed in the newly-built grand Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The Ram Mandir Trust had three options for idols, out of which, this statute has been finalized. Unveiling the first look of Lord Rama's idol, the Union Minister, on the micro-blogging site X, said, "The selection of the idol for the Prana Pratishtapana of Lord Rama in Ayodhya has been finalized. The idol of Lord Rama, carved by renowned sculptor of our country Yogiraj Arun, will be installed in Ayodhya."

The photograph shared by the union minister shows Lord Rama along with his wife Sita, and brother Laxman in a standing position. While Lord Hanuman is sitting close to Lord Rama's feet in the picture. The maker of Lord Rama's idol Yogiraj can also be seen posing alongside the idol of Lord Ram.

As decided by the priests, the consecration ceremony of Ayodhya Ram Mandir will take place at 12:20 pm on January 22. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the Mukhya Yajman (the person who performs all rituals) at the grand consecration.

Days ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Ayodhya to check on all the preparations done for the grand official opening. During his visit, the Prime Minister inaugurated Ayodhya's Maharishi Valmiki Airport. Very humbly, the PM urged people not to rush to Ayodhya on January 22 and light Diyas at their homes or nearby temples to celebrate the 'Pran Pratishtha' like 'Diwali.'

PM Modi also laid the foundation stone for a slew of other development projects in the region.
