Axiom-4 Mission Update: Shubhanshu Shukla Expected to Land on Earth July 14
Astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla, currently on the Axiom-4 mission, is expected to return to Earth on July 14, 2025, after spending over two weeks aboard the International Space Station (ISS).
The Axiom-4 mission was launched from NASA's Kennedy Space Centre in Florida on June 25, and the Dragon spacecraft successfully docked at the ISS the following day after a 28-hour journey.

Together, the four-member crew has orbited Earth hundreds of times, experiencing 230 sunrises and covering over 10 million kilometers in space.
Life Aboard the ISS
According to a statement by Axiom Space, the crew has been busy conducting experiments, working on scientific modules, and documenting their space journey. During their free time, they also took photos and videos of Earth, soaking in the breathtaking views from 250 miles above the planet and reconnecting with loved ones via calls.
"These moments offer a rare pause in an otherwise rigorous daily schedule," the statement noted.
Shubhanshu Shukla's Space Journey Nears Completion
As the return date nears, final checks and departure protocols are underway. The Axiom-4 mission marks a significant step in private space exploration and highlights the growing presence of Indian-origin astronauts in global missions.
