Australian PM Tony Abbot arrives in Delhi

New Delhi, Sep 5: Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott arrived here on Friday, the second day of his

visit.

Abbott was received by Piyush Goyal, union minister of state independent charge for power, coal and new renewable energy.

"India-Australia set to re-energise ties," Syed Akbaruddin, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, said in a tweet.

There was a formal welcome ceremony by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Abott arrived in Mumbai on Thursday.
