Australian PM Tony Abbot arrives in Delhi
Abbott was received by Piyush Goyal, union minister of state independent charge for power, coal and new renewable energy.
"India-Australia set to re-energise ties," Syed Akbaruddin, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, said in a tweet.
There was a formal welcome ceremony by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Abott arrived in Mumbai on Thursday.
