Attention CBSE Schools: Secure Your Spot For October-November NIOS Exams By This Date
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a notification to its affiliated schools, requesting them to provide consent for hosting the upcoming National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) exams scheduled for October-November 2024. Schools are required to submit their approval by July 31 through the NIOS portal.
NIOS conducts public examinations twice each year, in April-May and October-November. The forthcoming October-November session is set to begin in October 2024.

According to the official CBSE notification, "The NIOS, under the Department of School Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, conducts public examinations twice annually - in April-May and October-November 2024 - for secondary (10), senior secondary (12), and vocational courses. Each year, NIOS utilises the services and infrastructure of CBSE-affiliated schools for these exams. The October-November examinations are scheduled to start in October 2024. We request you to kindly provide your consent for conducting the October-November 2024 public examinations on the NIOS portal (http://exams.nios.ac.in) by 31st July 2024."
The notification further highlights, "Your cooperation will assist NIOS in managing the examinations for candidates from the most disadvantaged groups and will also help CBSE in complying with the directives from the Ministry of Education, Government of India."
The NIOS public theory examinations for secondary and senior secondary courses are expected to commence in the first week of October 2024.
