Attack on BSF in Udhampur extremely worrying: Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi, Aug 5: Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday described as "extremely worrying" the loss of lives in a militant attack on a BSF convoy in Jammu and Kashmir.

"Days after the Gurdaspur attack, militant attack on a BSF convoy in Udhampur is extremely worrying," he tweeted. The incident took place on the Jammu-Srinagar highway.

"My condolences to the families of the brave jawans who were martyred," he added.

Militants on Wednesday attacked a BSF (Border Security Force) convoy on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway in Udhampur district, injuring three troopers.

"Militants fired at a BSF convoy at Narsu Nallah on the Jammu-Srinagar national highway on Wednesday," a senior police officer said.
