Attack On Arvind Kejriwal! AAP Workers Demand Amit Shah's Resignation, Call Law & Order Failure in Delhi

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders and workers started a social media campaign against the Centre and raised a demand for Home Minister Amit Shah's resignation after a man threw liquid on former Chief Minister of Delhi and AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal. AAP leaders questioned law and order situation in the national capital.

Some AAP leaders called it a conspiracy by BJP, accusing the accused who thew liquid on Kejriwal is associated with BJP.

Arvind Kejriwal

The incident took place on Saturday evening when Arvind Kejriwal was campaigning for his party in South Delhi's Greater Kailash.

Notably, this was 3rd such incident in last 35 days.

On Sunday, Arvind Kejriwal addressed media and said: "I have been raising the issue of deteriorating law and order situation in Delhi. I am a citizen of Delhi, and have been a CM. People are living in fear. I thought the situation would improve, but it has not."

"The law and order of Delhi is under Union home minister Amit Shah. I raised the issue, I thought he would act, but instead attack happened on me yesterday. The liquid thrown on me was harmless, but it could have been dangerous. This is the third attack on me in the last 35 days," he added.

While responding to the allegations, BJP termed it as AAP's Drama. BJP spokesperson Shahzad Poonawala said, "writer, Producer, and Director of this drama was AAP leader."

Poonawala quoted Congress spokesperson to say, "whenever there are elections in Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal stages such dramas, where someone attacks him, throws ink on him."

All these things are staged. And if genuine, then it is anger of the people of Delhi towards AAP and Arvind Kejriwal.
