Atishi's First Reaction After AAP Names Her Next Delhi CM, She Thanks Kejriwal, Calls Him Political Guru
Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi Minister, Atishi's name was stamped to be the next chief minister of Delhi in Legislative Council's meeting today. Soon after the announcement of her name, Atishi addressed media and expressed her gratitude towards Arvind Kejriwal for believing in her.
During the press conference, Atishi thanked Arvind Kejriwal stating: "I thank my guru Arvind Kejriwal for giving me the responsibility of Delhi...I am also hurt by his resignation."

In an emotional address, Atishi described Kejriwal's resignation as a deeply sorrowful moment for Delhi. She clarified that her role as Chief Minister is temporary and will last only until the upcoming elections. She urged people not to congratulate or garland her for becoming Chief Minister. "Don't congratulate me or garland me for becoming Chief Minister. I will hold this position only until the elections. If we win, Arvind Kejriwal will return as Chief Minister," Atishi stated.
