At 'Janta Ki Adalat', Arvind Kejriwal Vows To Campaign For BJP If...

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday claimed that he was mistreated during his time in jail, alleging that his health was put at serious risk.

Speaking at the 'Janata Ki Adalat' event, Kejriwal stated, "My insulin supply was stopped in jail. My kidneys could have failed, and I could have died."

Kejriwal spent over five months in Tihar Jail in connection with the liquor policy case before being granted bail on 13 September, following a Supreme Court order.

He also took a strong swipe at the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, challenging the PM to provide free electricity in all states governed by the NDA before the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. Kejriwal even promised to support the BJP in their campaign if this demand was met.

"People are saying PM Modi has done nothing during his 10 years in power. If he does something now, even in the last year, people might say he achieved something. There's an election in Delhi in February. I ask him to make electricity free in 22 states, and I'll campaign for him," Kejriwal remarked during the 'Janata Ki Adalat' event held at Chhatrasal Stadium in Delhi.

He went on to describe the "double engine" model of governance as "double loot and double corruption."

Kejriwal also criticised the worsening law and order situation in Delhi, comparing it to the underworld rule in Mumbai during the 1990s.

"Bullets are being fired daily, crime is rising, and the BJP is focused on obstructing the work of the Delhi government. We introduced bus marshals to protect women, but they stopped it."

BJP responds

In response to Kejriwal's comments, BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj said, "While Kejriwal holds his 'Janata Ki Adalat', the people of Delhi have already given their verdict by electing BJP in all seven Lok Sabha seats in the city. For a decade, the AAP government has done nothing but engage in propaganda and corruption."
