India continued to shine brightly on the thirteenth day of the Asian Games, further bolstering its impressive medal tally. With a total of 95 medals secured thus far, India's exceptional performance leaves no doubt that more medals, including gold, are on the horizon, with the cricket team poised to contribute to this golden haul.
On Friday, the Indian hockey team clinched a well-deserved gold medal, adding to the nation's growing collection. Currently occupying the fourth position in the overall medal standings, India boasts an impressive tally of 22 gold medals, along with 34 silver and 39 bronze medals.

China leads the medal table with 187 gold medals (354 overall), while Japan holds second place with Korea following closely in third place. As India's athletes continue to shine on the international stage, the nation's sporting achievements serve as a source of immense pride and inspiration, solidifying its position as a formidable force in the world of sports.
Here is a list of who won what on the thirteenth day (6th October) of Asian Games 2023:
Cricket: Indian men's team defeated Bangladesh in the semi-final match, Team India will face Afghanistan in the final.
Archery: The women's recurve team won the bronze medal. The team included Ankita Bhakat, Bhajan Kaur, and Simranjeet. India also won the silver medal in the men's recurve event.
Wrestling: Bajrang Punia's performance was disappointing, apart from losing in the semi-final match, he also lost in the bronze medal match. Kiran won the bronze medal for India in 66 kg women's freestyle. Aman won bronze for India in men's 57 kg freestyle. Sonam won bronze in the 62 kg freestyle women's event.
Badminton: HS Prannoy won the bronze medal in men's singles. The pair of Satwik and Chirag won the semi-finals and secured a place in the upper finals.
Kabaddi: The Indian men's team defeated Pakistan. The Indian team has made it to the finals.
Sepaktakraw: India performed well in this event as well by bagging the bronze medal. India's Regu team won the medal.
Hockey: The Indian team made a blast in this. The Indian team won the gold medal by defeating Japan in the final match. India won its fourth gold in Hockey in the Asian Games along with securing a place in the Paris Olympics.
Chess: Women players performed brilliantly with Harika Dronavalli, Vaishali, Vantika Agarwal, Savita Shri Bhaskar, etc. winning their respective matches. India's men's and women's teams are ranked second on the leaderboard.
Bridge: India won a silver medal in this. Raju Tolani, Ajay Prabhakar Kahere, Rajeshwar Tiwari, and Sumit Mukherjee lost against Hong Kong China in the final and missed out on gold.
