Ashutosh, Ajay Maken, Meenakshi Lekhi file nomination papers
After filing his nomination papers, Ashutosh, a journalist turned politician, said that AAP was going to win all seven Lok Sabha seats in the national capital. Asked if he was confident of winning despite prominent leaders like Harsh Vardhan and Kapil Sibal contesting elections from the same seat, he only said "both leaders are prominent, but they were (not now)".
Ashutosh also rejected the concept of a Modi wave in the country. "I don't think that Modi's wave is everywhere in the country.
Meanwhile, Congress' candidate from New Delhi constituency Ajay Maken and BJP's candidate from the same constituency Meenakshi Lekhi too filed their nomination papers today.
Maken, the AICC General Secretary and Communication Department Chairman, was the first to submit his nomination papers before the Returning officer at Jamnagar House in New Delhi at around 1 pm.
While, Lekhi reached Jamnagar House about 45 minutes later driving a white colour open jeep with senior BJP leader Vijay Kumar Malhotra by her side and some supporters carrying party flags and raising slogans.
Maken is the sitting MP from New Delhi constituency.
