Ashok Gehlot Releases Rajasthan Congress Manifesto, Promises Caste Census Ahead Of Assembly Poll
The Congress presented its manifesto for the Rajasthan assembly elections on a recent Tuesday. Leading figures including Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, Rajasthan's party in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, State Party President Govind Singh Dotasra, Manifesto Committee Chairman CP Joshi, and former Deputy Chief Minister Sachin Pilot unveiled the manifesto titled 'Jan Ghoshna Patra' at the state party headquarters.
Prior to this, Gehlot had already announced seven pledges, or assurances, to the citizens of Rajasthan if the Congress secures reelection.

The Congress manifesto further pledged the introduction of a novel recruitment scheme at the panchayat level and the implementation of a caste-based census in Rajasthan.
The seven commitments include:
- An annual honorarium of Rs 10,000 for the women heading families.
- LPG cylinders for Rs 500 to 1.05 crore families.
- Purchase of dung from cattle rearers at Rs 2 per kg.
- Legislation for the reinstatement of the old pension scheme for government employees.
- Provision of laptops or tablets to students enrolling in government colleges.
- Insurance coverage of up to Rs 15 lakh per family to offset losses caused by natural calamities.
- Facilitation of school education in English medium.
- Meanwhile, the BJP has already unveiled its own manifesto.
The Rajasthan assembly elections are slated for November 25, with the vote count scheduled for December 3.
