As Defence Minister, I ensured that minimum life is lost: Goa CM Manohar Parrikar

Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Sunday that when he was a Defence Minister he ensured that minimum life is lost.

While speaking at a prize distribution ceremony at marathon of the second edition of the JK Cement Swachh ability run, Parrikar said he had instructed soldiers in the armed forces to kill the enemy, instead of getting killed.

''Told soldiers-martyrdom is great&sacrifice for nation is must but it doesn't mean you get killed when you go fighting, kill your enemy,'' he said.

The Chief Minister also said sometimes, differently-abled people can contribute more to the society than a normal person.
