Arvind Kejriwal's cough: Appoint with Dr Nagendra yet to be sought

Has Arvind Kejriwal sought an appointment from Dr H R Nagendra as yet? Not yet says Dr Nagendra who is a chancellor at the Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana.

Dr Nagendra's name did the rounds on the social media after Prime Minister Narendra Modi referred Delhi Chief Minister to Dr Nagendra to cure his cough.

Arvind Kejriwal has become famous for several reasons. Apart from his muffler, his trade mark cough too has been a subject of discussion several times.

Dr Nagendra says that they have several ways to cure cough. There are several techniques that we adopt to cure whooping cough he informed. However Kejriwal has not yet sought an appointment as yet he said.

The reason why Prime Minister Modi referred Nagendra was because he had visited the university campus. Dr
Nagendra says that his work had been witnessed by the PM and he had even met him.

The Prime Minister knows how we have treated patients with chronic cough, Dr Nagendra also points out.

What the Prime Minister said?

At a function organized by the Delhi Police Commissioner, B S Bassi, the Prime Minister suggested to Kejriwal that he visit Dr Nagendra in Bengaluru.

At the function the Prime Minister was drawn towards Kejriwal when he was coughing. The PM asked how come Arvind who is so much younger to him was unfit.

Kejriwal said that he is allergic and also stated that his cough worsens when it is cold. This is when Modi advised to visit Dr Nagendra in Bengaluru.

Who is Dr Nagendra?

Dr HR Nagendra is the Vice-Chancellor of the Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhana Samsthana (S-VYASA), a deemed university in Bangalore with research as a focus.

He holds a mechanical engineering degree. He joined the Vivekananda Kendra, a service mission stating that he wanted to pursue human engineering.

Dr Nagendra has developed yoga research projects both in India and abroad in a range of yogic applications, including yoga therapy. He has been a recipient of several awards for his contributions in yoga therapy.
