Arvind Kejriwal On Baba Siddique Murder: AAP Chief Questions Law & Order, Says Entire Country Is Scared

A day after the brutal killing of NCP leader Baba Siddique in Mumbai, former Chief Minister of Delhi and AAP national convener, Arvind Kejriwal expressed deep concern over the murder and law & order situation. Slamming the BJP-Shiv Sena (Shinde group) government, Arvind Kejriwal said the incident has not only unsettled Maharashtra but has also sent shockwaves across India. Kejriwal emphasised the need for public action against those trying to establish gangster rule.

Taking it to X (formerly Twitter), Kejriwal remarked on the widespread fear following the shooting. "People across Maharashtra, and the entire country, are scared after the public shooting of the NCP leader in Mumbai. A similar atmosphere has been created in Delhi as well," he said. He urged citizens to oppose those aiming to impose a gangster regime.

Investigation into Gang Links

The investigation into Siddique's murder revealed potential gang affiliations. Two suspects, Gurnail Singh and Dharamraj Kashyap, allegedly linked themselves to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang during interrogation. Police are probing this angle but await confirmation through further investigation.

As details unfold, it emerged that three of the four accused had previously been incarcerated together in a Punjab jail. During their time there, they reportedly met a Lawrence Bishnoi gang member and subsequently joined the gang.

Details of the Crime

Police sources disclosed that the accused rented a house in Kurla, Mumbai for Rs 14,000 from September 2. They conducted surveillance for nearly a month before executing their plan. On the day of the attack, they took an auto-rickshaw to MLA Zeeshan Siddique's office in Bandra East.

The assailants waited until Baba Siddique was within range before opening fire. Tragically, Siddique succumbed to his injuries at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai shortly after being shot.

Kejriwal's remarks about resisting gangster rule came after two suspects claimed ties with Lawrence Bishnoi's gang. This revelation has intensified political tensions and raised concerns about organised crime networks expanding their influence.

The ongoing investigation continues to uncover significant details about the planning and execution of this heinous crime. Authorities remain focused on verifying all connections and motives behind this shocking incident.
