The matter relates to alleged corruption in the formulation and execution of the Delhi government's excise policy for 2021-22, which has now been scrapped.

November 2, 2023: Kejriwal ignores the first summons from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and attends a political rally in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh.

December 2023: Kejriwal skips the second ED summons, labeling it "illegal and politically driven."

January 2024: Kejriwal misses the third ED summons, claiming it is part of a conspiracy by the Centre.

January 18, 2024: The ED issues a fourth summons, directing Kejriwal to appear for questioning.

February 2024: Kejriwal fails to attend both the fifth and sixth ED summonses, with his legal team questioning the validity of the summonses.

March 2024: A sessions court grants Kejriwal bail following two complaints by the ED for non-compliance with the summonses.

March 2024: Kejriwal contests the ED summonses in the Delhi High Court, which denies him relief from coercive measures.

March 2024: Kejriwal appeals to the Supreme Court for protection against coercive action.

March 21, 2024: After skipping nine ED summonses, Kejriwal is arrested by the ED.
