Arvind Kejriwal condemns lathicharge on NIT students
New Delhi, Apr 6: Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal took to Twitter on Wednesday condemning the lathicharge incident at the NIT campus in Srinagar.
Kejriwal said: "Lathi charge on students in srinagar is highly condemnable. BJP-PDP must stop this immediately."

The incident occurred on Tuesday night after non-Kashmiri students were heading towards the gate demanding that the exams be postponed when they were hit with batons by police officials.
Reports suggest that the a group of students were heading for the main gate demanding that the exams be postponed when police officials charged at them. Students said that the situation was intentionally aggravated when a bunch of youth from the canteen pelted stones in a bid to escalate tensions.
Meanwhile, Centre has sent a two member team on the campus to asses the situation. Following the lathicharge incident security has been beefed up in the campus.
Clashes had erupted in the campus last week after some students were seen celebrating India's loss in the T20 World Cup. It was then that non-Kashmiri students hoisted the tricolour and staged a march on campus.
