Three Persons Arrested for Motorbike Theft Cases in Pune and Mumbai
Three persons hailing from Rajasthan were arrested from Pune and Mumbai in motorbike theft cases. One of them was a wanted accused in a drug case filed in the western state.
In a recent development, three men from Rajasthan were apprehended in Pune and Mumbai for their involvement in motorbike theft cases. The arrest shed light on the fact that one of them was also a wanted suspect in a drug-related case filed in Rajasthan, as confirmed by the police on Tuesday.

The two accused were arrested from Kothrud, Pune where they had gone to commit robbery. Meanwhile, the third accomplice was caught from suburban Andheri in Mumbai on Monday. An official from the Andheri police station identified the arrested individuals as Ramesh Radhyshyam Menariya (31), Himmat Bherwal Gujjar (32) and Heeralal Kishanlal Ahir (24). All three hail from Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan.
Past Criminal Records
All three individuals have a criminal past with records showing their involvement in various illegal activities. The police managed to recover two high-end motorbikes which they had stolen from Andheri and Marine Drive areas of Mumbai, according to an official statement.
Investigation Leads To Arrest
In August this year, an individual approached the Andheri police reporting his expensive motorbike missing. As investigations progressed, it came to light that two men planning to commit robbery were heading towards Pune and one among them could potentially be involved with the bike theft cases reported in Mumbai. Acting swiftly on this information, the Andheri Police set up a trap leading to their capture followed by arresting their third accomplice based out of Mumbai.
Link With Drug Case Unveiled
As per further investigation into these arrests, it was discovered that Gujjar was previously listed as a wanted accused in a case related to the seizure of 100 kg opium in Rajasthan. He had been evading the law for two years, added the official.
Charges Against The Trio
The three accused have now been booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including section 379 which pertains to punishment for theft. Further investigation into their activities is currently underway.
In conclusion, this incident underscores how persistent and thorough police work can lead to significant breakthroughs in seemingly unrelated cases. The arrest not only solved multiple bike theft cases but also led to the capture of a wanted drug offender who was on the run for several years. This serves as a reminder that no crime goes unnoticed and justice will always find its way.
