Around 900 Sindhi Hindus apply for citizenship at special camp
Indore, June 15 Around 900 Sindhi Hindus hailing from Pakistan submitted applications for the Indian citizenship at a four-day camp here which concluded today.
Sindhi Samaj, a local organisation, and the district administration had organised the camp to facilitate submission of citizenship applications by the Sindhi Hindus who migrated to India from Pakistan, especially after 1971.

Prakash Parwani, general secretary of the Sindhi Samaj, said of these about 900 applications, 625 were verified by the police, while the rest could not be verified for want of necessary documents, etc.
The verified applications would be forwarded to the Centre through the state Government.
