In the meantime, ambassadors and senior diplomats from Russia, Japan, Germany, Poland, and the United Kingdom met in-depth with Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri. The meeting, which lasted roughly thirty minutes, was held on Thursday in South Block, New Delhi. Additionally present were envoys from China, France, Italy, Qatar, the United States, the European Union, and Canada.

Following a terrible terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which killed 26 civilians, there is a diplomatic engagement. The government of India has taken a number of measures in response to the attack, including immediately halting all visa services for citizens of Pakistan.

"The Government of India has decided to suspend visa services to Pakistani nationals with immediate effect, in continuation of the decisions made by the Cabinet Committee on Security in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack," the MEA stated in an official statement.

The purpose of the briefing was to highlight India's determination to fight terrorism and to inform foreign partners of the latest developments. It also symbolizes India's larger diplomatic approach to guarantee international support and awareness in the fight against terrorism.
