New Delhi, Nov 15: It's has become the biggest dilemma for the Narendra Modi government--how to deal with its own senior rebel leaders?
Of late, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is facing more internal criticism than the external ones over its various "failed" economic policies, including demonetisation and the Goods and Services Tax (GST).

These days, it seems BJP veteran leader and former Union minister Arun Shourie is taking a break from targeting the Modi government. But that has not deterred his party colleagues--former finance minister Yashwant Sinha and Bihar BJP member of Parliament (MP) Shatrughan Sinha from constantly criticising the ruling BJP over various issues.
Gauging their sharp and direct attacks against the Modi government and the Prime Minister himself on several occasions, these days, a popular joke is doing the rounds in Lutyens' Delhi that both the Sinhas are the two most "trusted and loyal" leaders of the opposition Congress.
Because whenever they speak they attack the BJP to the utter glee of the Congress.
Similarly, one more joke is popular that Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi is also the most trusted and loyal leader of the BJP because since the time the Gandhi scion has taken charge of the grand old party it has immensely benefitted the saffron party.
On Wednesday, the hashtag, Yashwant Sinha, was trending on Twitter after he once again targeted Arun Jaitley calling the Union finance minister "a burden on Gujarat" at an event organised by "Lokshahi Bachao Abhiyan" in Ahmedabad on Tuesday.
At the same event, the former finance minister added that "demonetisation has caused a loss of Rs 3.75 lakh crore to the country and currently the economy is standing on one leg".
The latest attack by the bureaucrat-turned-politician is an addition to what he had already said against the demonetisation and the GST when he wrote a scathing article against the Modi government in The India Express in September.
Similarly, the actor-turned-politician Sinha too has been regularly condemning the Modi government on Twitter. These are some of his latest vitriolic tweets against the PM and his government:
In spite of regular attacks from these two veterans, why is the BJP not expelling the two Sinhas?
"It's difficult to do so. Both the Sinhas are well-educated and have a good reputation as knowledgeable persons. Moreover, they are speaking the truth. If the BJP expels them it would backfire, so the saffron party is keeping quiet except for occasional snubs from Jaitley against his predecessor Sinha," said a political analyst from Delhi.
