Is It A Holiday For Banks Today? Check Out Whether It Is Open Or Closed In Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Other States

This year's Diwali celebrations have brought an unusual scenario, with the festival of lights being split across two days. As a result, multiple states have designated both October 31 and November 1 as bank holidays, making it essential for anyone with banking needs to verify holiday schedules in their respective states.

The Reserve Bank of India has confirmed that banks will observe holidays on November 1 in several states, recognizing Diwali Amavasya (Laxmi Pujan), Deepawali, Kut, and Kannada Rajyotsava. On Friday, November 1, banks will remain closed in states including Karnataka, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Sikkim, and Manipur, each observing local festivities.
