iPhone 16 Launch At Apple Event 2024: Tim Cook Introduces iPhone 16, Apple Watch 10 Series, Ultra 2, AirPods

Apple has introduced its latest iPhone 16 series, which includes the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max. These models are powered by the A18 Bionic chip, based on Arm's V9 architecture, to support the AI tools of Apple Intelligence. The new iPhones come in five colours: Ultramarine, teal, pink, black, and blue.

The launch event also showcased other innovative devices. The Apple Watch X, also known as the Apple Watch Series 10, features a depth gauge and water temperature reading. It can detect and alert users of sleep apnea. This watch is made from 95% recycled titanium and is powered renewable energy.

Tim Cook emphasised Apple's dedication to sustainability during the event. He noted that the new Apple Watch and all other finishes can be carbon neutral. The Apple Watch X is crafted from 95% recycled aerospace-grade titanium.

The AirPods 4 were another highlight of the event. They come with noise cancellation for the first time among all AirPods models and have the smallest case ever. These AirPods offer an impressive 30 hours of battery life.

New Features in AirPods

A software update will enable the AirPods Pro 2 to function as a hearing aid. Additionally, Apple has introduced a clinically approved hearing test that takes just five minutes using the AirPods 4 and an iPhone.

The 'Glowtime' event took place at Apple's Cupertino Park headquarters in California. Viewers could watch it live on Apple's website, YouTube, and the Apple TV app.

The new devices will be available for purchase starting September 20. The iPhone 16 series starts at $699, while the Apple Watch Series 10 starts at $399.
