AP: Ganesh laddu fetches Rs 12.75 lakh in auction

Visakhapatnam, Spt 8: A laddu offered to a Lord Ganesh idol in Madhavadhara area here has fetched Rs 12.75 lakh in an auction held today.

The organisers claimed that this is the largest amount fetched in auctioneering of a laddu in Andhra Pradesh, post its division. The 27-kg laddu was bought by A Ramadevi, D Bhaskar Reddy and K Krishna Bhargav, who are in real estate business.

Few days back, auction of a laddu offered to Ganesh idol, installed by gated communities of STBL Properties Ltd at Duvvada area in the city, fetched Rs 2.12 lakh.

Around ten persons took part in the auction. "The amount raised through the auction will be donated to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund," one of the organisers said.
