AOL World Culture Festival: NGT panel to assess damage
New Delhi, Mar 15: A team of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) to visit the Yamuna flood plains where Art of Living (AOL) World Culture Festival was organised last week.
The NGT team is expected to visit the venue of the event this week to assess the damage caused to the area.

The three-day Art of Living World Culture Festival ended on Sunday, was held amid controversy that it caused ecological damage.
According to experts the flood plains serves as a natural groundwater recharge system and a flood barrier.
Before the beginning of the event, the AOL was asked to pay a fine of Rs 5 crores by the green court. It is speculated that NGT may increase the fine or environment compensation after assessing the damage.
