Anti terror ops launched at Kupwara, J&K

Kupwara, Oct 30: An operation has been launched jointly by the army and the police at Kandi, Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir.

The operation began this morning after a tip off was received about the presence of two to three terrorists.
Gun shots are being heard in the area. The entire area has been barricaded. Sources say that as per the tip off there are two to three terrorists in the area.
The security personnel are taking no chances. Sources say that the terrorists are being engaged and soon they would be neutralised. No injury or casualties have been reported.
The encounter comes two days after the incident at Machli sector in Kashmir. In this incident, an Indian soldier Mandeep Singh was killed and his body mutilated. The armed forces have said that they would respond strongly.
