Uttar Pradesh Government Deploys Anti-Drone System for Maha Kumbh 2025 to Ensure Devotee Safety
A sophisticated anti-drone system is now in place to safeguard attendees of the Maha Kumbh 2025, as announced by the Uttar Pradesh government. This system was activated on Friday and successfully intercepted two unauthorised drones. Experts are managing the system from a central location, monitoring drone activity and capable of disabling any suspicious drones mid-flight if needed.

Drone Regulations and Enforcement
The anti-drone system was deployed in the Maha Kumbh fair area, where it promptly neutralised two unauthorised drones on its first day. Notices have been issued to the operators, according to Senior Superintendent of Police Rajesh Dwivedi. He emphasised that flying drones in Mahakumbh Nagar without prior approval is prohibited, and permission must be obtained from the police beforehand.
Officials anticipate that 450 million devotees from around the world will attend this significant religious event. The government has taken these measures to ensure safety and prevent any potential threats during the gathering. The authorities have warned that strict action will be taken against anyone operating drones without authorisation.
The deployment of this advanced system highlights the government's commitment to maintaining security at such a large-scale event. By employing experts to oversee drone activity, they aim to provide a safe environment for all attendees. This initiative reflects the importance placed on security during one of the world's largest religious gatherings.
