Another Delhi Blast? Explosion Heard Near Radisson Hotel in Mahipalpur

A brief moment of panic gripped Delhi's Mahipalpur area on Thursday morning after the police received a call reporting an explosion near the Radisson Hotel.

According to officials, the PCR call was made at 9:18 AM by a woman who claimed to have heard a loud blast-like sound in the vicinity. Multiple police teams and a bomb disposal squad were immediately dispatched to the spot to verify the report.

However, after a thorough inspection, no suspicious object or trace of an explosion was found in the area. Later, it was confirmed that the sound had actually come from a bus tyre burst, which led to the confusion.

Delhi Police clarified that there is no threat to public safety, and normalcy has been fully restored in the Mahipalpur area.

This false alarm in Mahipalpur, Delhi, comes amid heightened security following the November 11 Red Fort car blast that killed eight and sparked nationwide anti-terror operations.

Meanwhile, DMRC wrote,'' Lal Quila Metro Station will remain closed till further notice due to security reasons. All other stations are functional as normal.''
