Another Air India Flight Faces Technical Glitch! Delhi To London Flight Returns Mid Air

An Air India flight scheduled to depart from Delhi to London on July 31 was forced to return to the bay due to a suspected technical issue. The aircraft, a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner operating as Flight AI2017, was halted during its take-off run as a safety precaution. The cockpit crew detected the issue shortly before departure and, following standard operating procedures, aborted the take-off and returned the aircraft for technical checks.

A senior Air India official confirmed the development, stating, "Flight AI2017 operating from Delhi to London returned to the bay due to a suspected technical issue. The crew decided to discontinue the take-off run and brought the aircraft back for precautionary checks."

To minimise passenger inconvenience, Air India immediately began arrangements to deploy another Boeing 787-9 aircraft for the journey. The airline assured passengers that all efforts were being made to ensure their safe and timely travel to London.

"Our ground staff is providing full support to the guests during the delay. An alternative aircraft is being arranged to fly the passengers to London at the earliest," the airline added.

Air India has not yet disclosed the number of passengers affected but affirmed that all necessary assistance is being extended during the wait. Passengers were kept informed throughout the process, and refreshments were provided.

This incident underscores the airline's emphasis on safety and adherence to operational protocols when faced with technical concerns.
