Andhra Shocker: 15-Year-Old Student Burnt Alive By Unidentified Persons

A class 10 student was burnt alive by some unidentified persons in Andhra Pradesh's Bapatla district on Friday, the IANS reported.

The incident occurred in Rajavolu village of Cherukupalli mandal (block) on Friday morning. The victim, identified as 15-year-old Amarnath, was going to tuition on his bicycle when he was stopped by assailants near Redlapalem.

The attackers poured petrol on him and set him afire. As the boy cried, the locals rushed to douse the fire and took him to GGH Guntur. However, he succumbed to the injuries.

Before his death, the boy told police that Venkateshwar Reddy and a few others torched him.

The Back Story
Reddaiah, the grandfather of the victim, has held the harasser of Amarnath's sister responsible for his murder. He claimed that Amarnath had confronted the boy for harassing his sister and questioned why he was roaming around his sister in the college where she was studying.

Meanwhile, police filed a case and launched a hunt for the assailants.
