Andhra Pradesh targets to plant 5 crore trees in next five years
Vijayawada, Aug 28: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today said the government targets to plant five crore trees in the next five years through various plantation programmes.
The chief minister launched aerial seeding programme as he flagged off the helicopter here that sprayed around 15 MT (metric tons) of seeds in the new capital region.

He said currently under the aerial seeding plan, 150 metric tons will be used across the state, while 15 MT was sprayed through the helicopter in the new capital region today.
Krishnapatnam port has voluntarily provided the helicopter for the purpose, he added.
On the same lines, Visakhapatnam port has also extended its cooperation to provide a chopper for aerial seeding, Naidu said.
