Andhra Pradesh NDA Parties Finalize Seat-Sharing Formula for Lok Sabha and State Polls

The seat-sharing negotiations were spearheaded by senior BJP leader and Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, who met with TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu and JanaSena chief Kalyan in Amaravati. Naidu, in a post on social media platform X, expressed his gratitude for the alliance and called upon the people of Andhra Pradesh to support their combined efforts to reclaim the state and build a brighter future.

Electoral Significance

The 2024 polls mark the first time that the TDP, BJP, and JSP will contest elections together. In the 2014 elections, the TDP and BJP had fought the polls in alliance, with JanaSena extending outside support. The TDP and JanaSena have already announced the names of 100 candidates, and Naidu assured that the remaining candidates will be named soon.
