Andhra Pradesh Set to Reject YSRCP in Upcoming Elections, Says Chandrababu Naidu
In a significant political development in Raptadu, Andhra Pradesh, TDP supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu has made a bold statement regarding the upcoming polls. On Thursday, Naidu expressed confidence that the people of Andhra Pradesh are ready to defeat YSRCP chief Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. The TDP leader criticized the Chief Minister's Memanta Siddham election campaign bus tour as unsuccessful and called for support for the NDA alliance, comprising TDP, BJP, and Janasena, to rebuild the state.

Naidu, during his Prajagalam election campaign tour, predicted the downfall of CM Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy's ego post the May 13th election day. His campaign trail also included stops in Bukkaraya Samudram and Singanamala in Anantapur district. Here, he highlighted the agricultural potential of the district and proposed initiatives such as implementing drip irrigation with a 90 percent subsidy and bringing Godavari river water to the region to boost farming.
The former Chief Minister outlined his vision for job creation and welfare schemes. He pledged to generate 20 lakh jobs for youth within five years and offer a monthly unemployment allowance of Rs 3,000 until employment is secured. Additionally, Naidu promised to increase the welfare pension from Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,000 and ensure direct delivery to beneficiaries on the first day of each month.
Women aged between 18 to 59 are set to receive Rs 1,500 per month through the Aadabidda Nidhi scheme under Naidu's plan. This is alongside free RTC bus travel for them. School-going students would benefit from Rs 15,000 annually under the Thalliki Vandhanam scheme, and households would receive three free gas cylinders per year through the Deepam Scheme.
Addressing YSRCP chief's remarks on his uncle Y. S. Vivekananda Reddy's murder, Naidu pointed out inconsistencies in YSRCP's narrative surrounding the incident. Furthermore, Naidu engaged with the Muslim community by participating in an Iftar dinner at STSN College ground in Kadiri town.
The political landscape in Andhra Pradesh is heating up with elections for the 175-member Assembly and 25 Lok Sabha seats scheduled on May 13. The counting of votes will take place on June 4, marking a crucial juncture for both major political parties in the state.
