Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu Advocates for Leading Drone Policy in India
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has urged officials to ensure the state's drone policy is the best in India. He reviewed the 2024-29 policy, outlining the Andhra Pradesh Drone Corporation's objectives for the next five years. "The drone policy being drafted by our state should be the best in the country. Ensure that Andhra Pradesh emerges as the best centre for the drone industry in the country," Naidu stated.

Naidu emphasised attracting drone manufacturers to invest in Andhra Pradesh by offering appealing incentives. He instructed officials to transform Orvakal in Kurnool district into a hub for drone manufacturing. Additionally, he advocated for government departments to maximise drone usage and proposed developing Amaravati as India's drone capital.
Focus on Data and Semiconductor Policies
Beyond drones, Naidu also addressed the Andhra Pradesh Data Centre Policy 4.0 and AP Semiconductor Fab 4.0, both spanning 2024-29. The semiconductor policy seeks to draw investments into fabs, outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT), ATMP, and compound semiconductor sectors to establish a self-reliant ecosystem.
The data centre policy aims to add 200 MW of capacity, positioning Andhra Pradesh as a leader in AI-driven data centres and data embassies. "We aim to create a thriving ecosystem for deep-tech innovation and growth in Andhra Pradesh, and these policies are an important milestone in that direction," he added.
Naidu's vision includes fostering a robust environment for technological advancements in Andhra Pradesh. By focusing on drones, semiconductors, and data centres, he aims to position the state as a leader in these sectors. The policies are designed to attract investment and drive innovation.
