Amrit Udyan 2026 Timings, Ticket Prices: Mughal Gardens at Rashtrapati Bhavan Open to Public from February 3

Amrit Udyan Opening Date 2026: The iconic Amrit Udyan, formerly known as the Mughal Gardens, at Rashtrapati Bhavan will open its gates to the public from February 3 to March 31, 2026, offering visitors a chance to experience one of India's most celebrated green spaces during its Winter Annuals Edition.

President Droupadi Murmu on Sunday graced the opening of the Amrit Udyan Winter Annuals Edition 2026, marking the start of the much-awaited public viewing season.

The gardens will be open six days a week, from 10 am to 6 pm, with the last entry allowed at 5 pm.

Amrit Udyan will remain closed on Mondays for maintenance and will also be closed on March 4 due to Holi.

Amrit Udyan 2026 Ticket Price and Booking

Entry to Amrit Udyan is free of cost. However, visitors must book their tickets online only, as no on-the-spot booking facility will be available this year.

Tickets can be booked through the official portal: visit.rashtrapatibhavan.gov.in.

Booking for a particular date will close at 10 am on the previous day. Visitors are advised to book slots in advance and strictly follow the time and instructions mentioned on their tickets.

Special Visiting Days

Certain days during the public opening have been earmarked for specific groups:

March 3: Defence personnel

March 5: Senior citizens

March 10: Women and tribal women's self-help groups

March 13: Divyangjan

Entry Gate and Shuttle Service

All visitors will enter and exit through Gate No. 35 of the President's Estate, located near North Avenue. To facilitate easy access, a shuttle bus service will operate every 30 minutes between Central Secretariat Metro Station and Gate No. 35 from 9.30 am to 6 pm, with the last shuttle departing at 4 pm.

Gardens and Attractions Inside Amrit Udyan

The designated visitor route will cover several themed sections, including:

  • Bal Vatika
  • Plumeria Garden
  • Banyan Garden
  • Bonsai Garden
  • Babbling Brook
  • Central Lawn
  • Long Garden
  • Circular Garden

Along with tulips and an extensive variety of roses, this year's highlights include the Babbling Brook, a cascading water stream, and the Banyan Garden, which features specially designed reflexology paths.

Visitor Guidelines and Facilities

Visitors are allowed to carry mobile phones, electronic keys, handbags, water bottles, and milk bottles for infants. Facilities such as drinking water, toilets, and first aid or medical services will be available along the public route.

Other Attractions at Rashtrapati Bhavan

Apart from Amrit Udyan, Rashtrapati Bhavan and the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum will remain open to visitors from Tuesday to Sunday. The popular Change-of-Guard Ceremony can also be witnessed every Saturday at the Forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan.
