In its time of crisis, All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) is showing a united front. The party members are standing firmly behind their leader and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, who is undergoing treatment in a Chennai hospital.

The party late on Tuesday night reiterated that Jayalalithaa (68) would continue to be the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
The statement was put on the party's official Twitter handle @AIADMKOfficial.

Amma (as the CM is popularly known to her fans) is undergoing treatment at Apollo Hospital at Greams Road, Chennai, since September 22.
The official statement on who is the real boss of the southern state holds great importance as it came just hours after Tamil Nadu Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao allocated the portfolios held by Jayalalithaa to Finance Minister O Paneerselvam.

The online message is to clear all doubts regarding who controls the affairs of the state.
On Monday, the hospital said she continued to be under treatment and was being constantly monitored by intensivists and other consultants in the expert panel, while respiratory support, antibiotics, nutrition, supportive therapy and passive physiotherapy were being given to her.
