Amity University student from Telangana commits suicide

Noida, Nov 5: A 21-year-old student of Amity University here allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his hostel room, police said on Saturday.
G Sai Krishna, a native of Telangana, was a first year student of post graduate diploma in facilities management and had joined the course recently, a senior police officer said.

He allegedly hanged himself last evening. He has left a note written in Telugu, addressed to his parents. The hostel was empty at that time as other students had gone for Diwali holidays, SHO of Sector 39 Police Station, Amarnath Yadav, said.
Krishna was rushed to a hospital, where he was declared brought dead, the SHO said.
A few days back, Krishna was scolded by his father regarding his studies and also for borrowing money from someone and not being able to pay it back, he said. Krishna's father is an advocate.
In his note, Krishna wrote that committing suicide is not easy and told his parents that they have done a lot for him, Yadav said.
The body has been handed over to his family after post-mortem, police said.
In August, a student of BA-LLB course in the university, had allegedly committed suicide at his residence in Delhi.
The deceased, who was the son of a joint secretary-level official in the Rajya Sabha Secretariat, was debarred from appearing in the sixth semester exams in May due to "shortage of attendance".
